1. Make an effort to know all the parts of the guitar- It is very beneficial to know the use of every part of guitar.
2. Tuning- A very essential part of guitar learning is tuning. As this tuning determines the tune of the music you are playing and so if you are out of tune, so is your music. You must also know how to change the strings of the guitar.
3. The feel- As the name suggests, you must feel the strings of the guitar on your fingers. You need to strum the guitar. This means that you must feel the strings by moving your fingers across the strings. This might sound a little crazy but is worth the effort of successful guitar learning.
4. Listen- Listening to the sounds of the moving fingers on the strings makes you aware of many other things. Try to make out the different sounds your fingers are making and try to find out where the individual sound comes from.
5. Start small- It takes time to learn the guitar so don’t think you will be able to play the music right away. Have patience and always practice.
6. Notes Before Chords- You will always need to learn to play notes well before you can move on to chords. Chords are multiple notes. Remember take your time and it will pay off in the long run.
7. Find Instruction- You will now need to find someone or something to help you learn to play. This could be a music teacher, a video course or software online. Whatever way works the best for you to teach you how to play guitar.
